Default Silent Hill

How can you NOT have a Silent Hill thread in here. I mean COME ON this is THE survival horror game. Always sticking to its blood soaked rusted roots, unlike Resident Evil that went all sci fi.

The game was discussed in a horror video game thread, some time back.

I love them. If you have a PS3 then Homecoming is great. You just have to go slowly and pay attention to what's going on. Origins isn't so good and the latest installment on the Wii is fantastic. My order of love is 1,2,3,homecoming,4

I love the Silent Hill franchise. In my opinion, they're one of the few video game franchises that transcends over the others and actually become great works of art, from the masterful, haunting music that sounds like a love-story from hell, to the inspiring locations and haunting atmosphere. Even the monsters you run from have a macabre beauty to them.

My brother has Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on ps2. I think It's pretty cool, in a total creppy way. I saw one of those things in the science room [if you know what I'm talking about...] and it freaked me out. It was great.
