Default Ron Howard and Warner Brothers Might Do The Dark Tower After All

The Dark Tower project looked dead for a while, but now it looks like Warner Brothers, Ron Howard, and the rest might actually revive the project for television. Of course, this is just based on a rumor on Ain't It Cool, which I sometimes think should be called "Ain't It Unlikely," but wouldn't it be nice? On the other hand, I don't really think of this kind of horror fantasy as being within Ron Howard's wheelhouse. I'd much rather see Frank Darabont tackling a project like this.

Thoughts on a Ron Howard The Dark Tower television adaptation from Warner Brothers and/or HBO?

well with Ron Howard being attached means it will have some decent money and talent behind the project.

And the mini series is a good format for King's stories.

i think ron howard is one of those versatile filmmakers--like rob reiner, bryan singer, jonathan demme (though neither is the artist that demme is)--who is capable of doing justice to any sort of subject matter. i think he's a fine choice for the dark tower.
