War Of The Dead !

What's cooler than Zombies? Nazi Zombies of course! War Of The Dead is the newest addition to the film and it is brilliant! It's so much fun and the take on zombies is great fun - not only are they running zombies, but jumping and sprinting!

At the beginning of World War II in 1939, in a secret bunker near the border of Russia and Finland, the Nazis began �Anti-Death� experiments on captured Russian soldiers. Two years later the project was abandoned with all records destroyed on the orders of Adolf Hitler and the test subjects buried in mass graves nearby.

Soon after those events, an elite squad of US soldiers is teamed up with a Finnish task force and sent on a mission to seek out and destroy the bunker along with any inhabitants remaining there. Following an ambush en route to their target, during which the Allies lose a considerable number of men, to their shock and horror they later find themselves face-to-face with the same enemy soldiers they had eliminated in the earlier skirmish. The big problem this time around is the enemy is more fearless than before and much harder to kill. After all, they�re already dead.

It's Dog Soldiers meets Dead Snow in this action-packed shock-fest in which a small group of Allied soldiers comes up against a horde of Nazi zombies.

I rememeber it taking quite a long time to do - especially since I was only using Windows Movie Maker at the time! I'm really quite proud of it though - it's rather cleverly edited with the lyrics/music/other clips even if I do say so myself.

Raimi to Produce Poltergeist remake

Just read this, and I"m unsure if this is a good thing or not. Raimi is one of the only people I'd want to attempt to remake this, but from what I read he's only producing, he isn't directing. I guess he's busy with his Wizard of Oz Prequel. No one is signed onto direct, but this could be disastrous!

Poltergeist holds a special place in my heart, I sort of broke my cherry on this movie. This was the first horror I saw in an actual theater. and it freaked me out! I'd hate to see it ruined by some swarmy cast or a total rewrite.

Is written horror more graphic/scary than movies

Hello,

I'm just writing part two of my horror todoings and I sent it off to my editor and he said that it was sick and worse than the first part. (He still edited it, he's just used to the sappy fiction I normally write).

I said it was no worse than something like Hostel, but he thinks that reading horror is far worse because you have to create it in your own mind and films are passive.

What do you think?

Concept LP's? Prog-rock, metal, etc. I know a lot of metal would qualify (I would lean towards Iron Maiden and Danzig, or Glenn Danzig's solo works, which are shocking in their beauty, depth and texture)....

Pony up, lads n lasses.... what are your faves? (I have not made my own list, but I am really curious)....

I know that Iced Earth's album Horror Show would have to be on my list, every song based on a horror film, novel or theme, and as I just mentioned the Black Aria albums (I do love them both) by Glenn D.

Alice Cooper's Along Came A Spider is a concept album about a serial killer that shows that make up doesn't make the rock, and age doesn't even slow him down....

at heart, i suspect we are all fans above all else. we have our cinematic loves, and we are fiercely protective and loving of them. to whatever degree adulthood has taught us the more scholarly aspects of cinema appreciation, i know i am still very much driven by what appealed to me as a child, and i love, above all else, the things that sparked something in me as a youngster.

to that end, with no budgetary concerns, or fear of how much an audience might exist for it, what movies would you like to see, movies that do not appear on the immediate radar, or that aren't in pre-production that we know of? go crazy, fantasize wht might be, discuss what others mention, put forward your story ideas, your casting choices, or simply, your childhood desires...

]I got to see it the other night and thought it was incredible! A sci-fi film that is really quite difficult to watch. If you're a fan of the really hard horror films that are coming out like Martyrs, Inside, Switchblade Romance and stuff like Saw this is definetly something to like into. Strong stuff and a must for any horror fan!
