I just finished Fugitives and Refugees, a book by Chuck Palahniuk (fight club, choke, lullaby). I have all of his books. This one is an amazing look at the city of Portland (home of the weazel). Travel books aren't his usual genre, and I have never been to Portland, but this book was VERY entertaining. It's rather short, and is written straight forward (unlike his other books) but once you start reading it you won't want to stop. It's a great book...if you're into that sort of thing. I really want to see Portland now. Thanks, Chuck.

Yeah Chuck, he's a helluva nice guy and real supportive of local writers around here. I love everything he does. But yes, Portland is a wacky town, he's really not ebellishing...well not entirely, bt the things he is, you'll have to come find out for yourself.

Like I said, if anyone comes to Portland, lemme know!

I still can't believe he managed to work Jim Goad's name into this book!?! I laughed out loud when I read that bit.
