There is a re-make of a movie named "The Omen" coming out on June 6, 2006 [6.6.2006, go figure]. Thoughts on this movie?:)

Yes I saw it advertised on TV last night and I got all excited! I will HAVE to see this as I enjoyed the original!

I hope they have an eerie graveyard scene in it as they did in the original. That was definitely a cool graveyard - very eerie and spooky. Ah man, what I would give if I could make my front graveyard scene look like that. My life would be complete.

Is it just me or does the kid not look as creepy as the original kid?
06-04-2006, 03:01 PM
I might wanna see it. I'm kinda scared. If I do it definately won't me on 6/6/06! That might be the way the devil works! By tricking you into accepting that number without knowing it!
06-04-2006, 03:39 PM
Since I don't have to go to work, I am going to see it on 6/6/06!

at 6:00 row 6 seat 6 ?

The theaters should only charge $6.66 if you see it on Tuesday.
On a different note, I saw a shirt that says "333...Im only half evil".

Row 6 is too close for me, Biggizmo, but that was funny!:D
The show is at 2:30 and I will get in half price, Mr. S, which will be $6.75 - pretty close to your suggestion!:)
06-06-2006, 10:11 AM
Half price is $6.75? Holy crap! And I thought full price of $8.50 where I live was expensive.
06-06-2006, 10:18 AM
It use to be $6.25 for the matinee show. I am doomed! DOOMED!
I am sick to my stomach so my plans to see Omen are post poned until Thursday! Drat!
06-06-2006, 11:46 AM
Today is also Murdoc's birthday!!!!!! :D Woohoo!
06-07-2006, 12:28 AM
wow...I was just checking out Mr.S post numbers...almost made it to date.
06-08-2006, 08:07 AM
If only I had noticed sooner. Now I have to wait a thousand years before I can do it again.
06-08-2006, 11:12 AM
Ok, today I plan on seeing this movie. I just hope I don't damn myself for doing so! Oh, God, forgive me! Please don't send me to hell! In Jesus' name, amen.
06-08-2006, 11:13 AM
Sorry, but I get scared of these kind of things easily. :(
06-09-2006, 05:11 AM
The Omen was awesome! I loved it! It kept me on the edge of my seat! I am even going to buy the sound track!
Tickets went up to $7.25 (half price) and the concession prices increased as well! It is so costly to see a movie if one doesn't see a matinee!
06-09-2006, 08:53 AM
Yes, it was awesome :D ! So, how different is it than the original?
06-09-2006, 09:33 AM
sorry...you will just have to watch the original...it would be better for you to watch the Omen sequels as well.
06-09-2006, 06:47 PM
I looked it up on the IMDB...yeah, it's different. Damien looks creepier 0.0 I should watch it, and it's sequels.
06-11-2006, 12:03 AM
yeah, I think you would like them...the effects weren't as awesome as today...but imagine some of this from the new version 30 years ago...the mind would not be able to comprehend the effects and horror of today's films...let alone the censor system for theatres
06-11-2006, 06:59 PM
Woah, yeah lol!
06-14-2006, 01:06 AM
wow...2:30...$6.75..........2:30=2x3...6...6.75=6 with 75 remaining...which 75=7+5 which is 12...divide 12 by 2 (because there are two formula factors of 6 digits) =6....................spooky
06-14-2006, 04:42 AM
Ha ha ha! Biggizmo, that post was a devilish delight!
06-14-2006, 08:41 AM
glad you liked it, Red...
06-17-2006, 11:59 PM
don't forget abot the 4th OMEN movie....1991 "the Awakening"
07-10-2006, 03:33 AM
The remake was awful- poor script, badly acted and dreadful casting.
A real shame as the original was a horror classic.
07-10-2006, 10:33 AM
I've been wanting to see it at the movies but just never got a chance. There are no theaters around here showing it so I'm going to wait for it to go to DVD.
07-10-2006, 11:47 AM
That is a shame, Da Weiner! It was EXCELLENT and I am still looking for the sound track!
07-10-2006, 12:08 PM
I found the soundtrack listed on www.samgoody.com (http://www.samgoody.com). In the search box, just put in "The Omen Soundtrack" and it will list the most recent to the original soundtrack.
07-10-2006, 12:32 PM
See...I was so torn when it was in theatres...
X3...or the Omen....
And in all actuality...I had not near enough money....so I saw neither...
I haven't even seen Pirates yet....
07-10-2006, 01:00 PM
Thanks so much, Da Weiner!
I can't afford $18.00 (plus shipping) so I guess I will have to keep hunting for it at a cheaper price!
I feel your finanical pain, NW. I can't afford to see any more movies now, even at half price! I want to see Pirates too - Johnny Depp is so hot!!
07-10-2006, 01:54 PM
Yes...yes he is....one of the very few males I would.....
Well that's not important...
Anyhoo, all of my mercenary troupe all got dressed to the nines in their medieval garb and went to see it, had the whole Orchestra row filled with frilled shirts and plumed hats....and I had to miss it... :( Oh well a Slayer show is this weekend and next weekend is Gypsy Days and Seadog Nights! The biggest pirate faire in the northwest! Woohoo!
07-10-2006, 03:45 PM
Haha - that is so cool watching the movie dressed as a pirate!
07-10-2006, 05:40 PM
Yeah I missed it! Oh well there is gonna be a third one so it'll be okay. Let's just hope they continue to be worth watching...
