What's the most terrible way you would hate to die and why?

Mine is DROWNING, I hate the thought of gasping for air. Sometimes I have dreams of me drowning and something is tied to my feet and I'm trying my best to get loose.[xx(]

Being smothered in some way, like being buried alive.
Or most probably drowning.

Burning on a stake 'cause there's be no escape from the toture.

To be more realistic, either suffocation or electrocution. I once dreamed (I never use 'dreamt') that I got struck by lightning and it was terrible. It wouldn't stop zapping me.

Do not call me bulla. Call me Chishio. I wish I could change my name to that but I can't.

Being hit on the head with something blunt... but still being alive, so they would have to hit me with it again...

Either that, or being thrown into acid.

Chishio
10-24-2005, 09:42 PM
Yes I was considering acid too but that's pretty much the same as burning in fire.

Do not call me bulla. Call me Chishio. I wish I could change my name to that but I can't.

Probably for me would to be beaten to death or tortured to death. Both sound slow and very, very painful.

Well, you guys probably still remember that one of my worst fears was that if I die, then my soul somehow is trapped in my corpse...

It happened in a "Tales from the crypt" episode.

I wouldn't want to die by fire you would smell your own burning flesh and feel the pain for a long time

I found alot of info on my friend.....her mom died in 1995 also at home at age 57. No word of her Dad. Apparently she had a sister Susan but she was not at all mentioned in 2003 when her aunt died at age 54 in the hospital. It seems she got divorced as her husband moved out of Union (where she lived) and into Hoboken. He then died in 2003 with his mom in a fire. It seems she had a stepson too. It was not her son as he is only 12 years older than she is and her ex-hubby was 12 years older than her. This is like some jigsaw I need to put together. The newspapers charge you for archive articles from the interney and I can't afford that! So, I am in the dark on what happened to her sister, father and when she was stricken with MS.
So, I will hope the care taker or SOMEONE will write back to me when I send my card.
I am obsessed with her death and I don't know why!

For me it is definately either burning or drowning-- at least the smoke will kill you before you burn but drowning is horrible--in both of thise situations there is nothing you can do. There is no wisdom that could save your life...not the stuff you learned in chemistry nor the cultural stuff you picked up like textfast.T9.com nor your moms recipe for banana bread...at that moment there is absolutely nothing you can do to save yourself...I had a nightmare that I was chained down in a swimming pool--my fingers could touch the air but I was too far down to get a breath--scarry

Oh only the first one or two you would feel, provided they were solid hits...

I think death by torture and mutilation would be worst...

But that generally comes at the hands of another person... so chances are slightly slimmer then other such causes

Like imagine having your fingernails ripped off then your toes brken, having one of your eyes popped with a hot needle, THEN being slowly allowed to bleed to death after having your hands removed....

That would be wretched....

While working aboard a cruise ship last year I often found myself on deck 13 staring out into the night and imagining the excitement of just being suddenly in that water. Alone. in the pitch black. You see alot of sharks, jellyfish and whales in Hawaii if you spend any amount of time on the water. I can't imagine anything more terrifying than treading water in the dark and waiting to be eaten alive. EXCEPT...disappearing into an undergound lake deep in a cave with undiscovered species of albino creatures swimming about. I have seen deep black water in caves that really made twitch. I imagined wandering off from the tour group and falling in and vanishing in the dark. Ew. God. Uck! I'm making myself ill just thinking about it.

Finally got around to making a will this week. Now, I have never been afraid of death or dying. I answered the q's about donating organs etc (YES-I'm gonna be dead, they need them more than I do) and then was asked "Do you wish to be buried or cremated?" I actually paused. Feeling depressed and wanting life to end,
Sitting staring into darkness
I know my soul is lifeless.
I hear the sweet knife calling my name
Ready to ease this horrific pain.

I smile because I know I've cut deep
Suddenly am lying on the floor in a heap.
Darkness closes in all around me,
My hearing's a blur and I can hardly see.
A small pool of blood has formed on the floor,
But I couldn't care less anymore.

I'm happy now that I know I'm dying
It almost feels like I'm flying
Death has come for me at last
So now I'm just a memory from the past.

A vision of hell from India, in the Hindu faith, the sin for wasting food, or denying food from the hungry is an eternity of intense and painful hunger, there is plenty of food, unfortunatley, and this is the hellish part, you have to eat with a neck and throat that stretches for miles and is only as wide as a blade of wheat grass.... so not only does it take days to reach your stomach to stop your hunger pain, but no matter how much you chew, still gonna hurt like hell all the way down....

wow.. I never thought of ways how a person could die. Maybe for me the scariest way to die is trying to run from somebody who is trying to kill me. Or die because of restless spirits or things beyond the grave.. hehehe... I have fears of LADY is white with freakishlt LONG hair..

well, the bloody eagle is an old, old torture/execution method.

first: they strap the victim's arms and legs to a device that will pull them, kind of like "the rack"
next: they slice open the victim's back, and start kranking the device, and keep stretching them, until there is a large space in between each rib
and finally: pull the lungs out through the space in the ribs, so the lungs look like wings

and that is the bloody eagle
