View Full Version : Sharing a few pics of my props
I thought I'd share some of my props I have in my yard this year. Some were hand made and some were not. I love coming up with new ideas and putting them to the test, hehe.
Also, if anyone else has pictures of their yard deco'd for Halloween ( past or present), I love looking at the work people do. Please post them, or at least a link to the site you have them posted to.:D

Here is my human BBQ. Actualy my sis helped me with this one. A simple prop made with last years body parts (which were also handmade) laid upon a broken sawhorse and grating. Lights were then laid underneath and wood stakes stacked around. At night, the lights make it look cool, like it's burning embers underneath.

Here is a simple cardboard box I made into a jail for my Niece's B-day party and (it was Cowboys and indians-hence the "jail" writing. This is where my loving mother will be handing out candy, dressed as a jailbird, stripes and all lol. We just creeped it up a little. Hmmmm, I wonder if thats a new phrase "Creeped it up" LOL.

And here are some minor fill-ins we added to take up a little space.

Wowie - you are very talented, X!
It will cost you sweat and tears, and perhaps....a little blood.
Oh yeah, I also made the bat on the right by hand with trash bags, coat hangers and black tape :D. I am currently working on the yard and hope to have pictures of it soon as well.

I can write, bake and cook but I am not a prop maker at all!

I just try and try again. Sometimes things don't come together for me either. Take the bat for instance I had alot of trouble keeping the head in the right direction LOL.
And the Candy Cage, I cut myself on the metal tape I used to put the lights inside of it LOL.
So as you can see, not all goes well for me either [:P]

awesome pics!!!
Thanks FY2N,
I'm struggling with the yard though. I don't know realy what to put in it yet. I have an old Christmas tree turning motor I'm thinking about sticking a head on it for an exorcist type effect then sticking it in the flower garden because it is waist high, LOL.
