Halloween Plans for 2005

Has anyone have any Halloween plans yet?

I am taking off from work on Halloween, dressing from head to toe in Halloween attire.I am either going out to a horror event with a friend or will have one at home (good food, movies).
If I have vacation days left, I might take Oct 28 off as well and have 4 days of Halloween fun!
If there are costume contests going on, I might dress up and party with my sister that weekend as well!

Well, I know I have a horror movie fest lined up, and my usual party but thats it so far. I'm not sure what costume I'm gonna wear though, this year I want to go different!!

I want to do something really fun this year. Hopefully I will have more time to actually plan something cool. I want to either have a costume party, or some kind of haunted theme party, and deck my whole house out in creepy things and make it look a haunted house. I want to watch horror movies all week long the week before. I can't wait for Halloween!

I don't think I'll do anything this Halloween...Nothing interesting ever happens on Halloween, at least not for me. Maybe I'll wear all black clothes, put on an inch of eyeliner, black eyeshadow, sit in a tree, and read poetry. lol

[Terror on Beechwood]

For me, it will be to take the day off, get up even earlier than I would have for work. Begin dragging out all the props while the coffee is brewing. Work like the hounds of Hell are snapping at my heals until the first TOTers start showing up anytime after noon. Then it's a constant tweaking of props and maintaining everything until the last TOTer goes. That's sometime between 10 and 11 PM. Then comes my most favorite time of all. Just me out in the haunt alone under the stars. I'll usually enjoy it until just after midnight, then it's time to take the most valuable things in and collapse and watch Horror movies until dawn.

Actually, I'll need to take the Friday off before the weekend to begin setting up the walls and larger structures, and Tuesday off as well, just to pull it all down.

I understand totally! I put all my stuff up at the end of September. I have a townhouse so all my decor has to stay inside but when I get a house....all horror hell will break loose - woo hoo!!!

Just enjoy the partying while you can. It's a magical time between TOTing years,and when you man the haunt each year and make the dreams come true for the little ones. The good news is, that when you start haunting each year, the friends and party have to come to you!
