First of all... why do some of the topic folders have flames on them? And why are there ghosts and zombies and vampires and stuff?

flames mean that its a hot topic. In order to have a hot topic, you need 10 or more replies to a post. Ghost, Zombie and others are ranks. The more you post the higher your rank goes.
