I am walking through the sewer. All I can hear is the rush of water and the squish of my shoes in the muck. The hairs on my body stand at attention and I know I am not alone. I turn everyway possible but there is nothing but darkness and stench. I continue walking with my head held high as if I know exactly whats around and am not worried. Deep down my body is screaming run and yet I realize to do so would only make things worse. I stumble when my shoe catches on a slimy rock and fall against the wall. It disintegrates beneath my hands and I end up on my knees in a hollow space. I hesitate to call it a room even though it is quite expansive. Grimacing at the dirt and other substances that cover me, I slowly climb to my feet and glance around the room. The floor is littered with bone fragments and decaying organ tissues. Gagging at the smell, I cover my nose as something calls my attention towards the ceiling. Above me are holes wide enought for a human to fit. Compelled, I walk over to the closest void and strained to see inside. Quietly as possible I hoist myself into the hole and hold myself steady by what I assume to be the exit. As my eyes adjust to the dark I see movement in the shadows. My heart jumps into my throat when I realize they are moving towards me. Jumping out as quickly as I can I try to run, only to slide on the organ fluids. I make the attempt to maintain my balance without success. As I fall I glance over my shoulder to see these smoky creatures gaining on me. When I make contact with the floor my head jolts back against a bone fragment. My last conscious thought is swallowed into the black.
