dead letters

well,it started off as a dream. In the dream i was lying in my bed when i heard a scream coming from downstairs, so as you can imagine, i got pretty scared. Then, i heard footsteps coming up my stairs. I hid under my blanket as i heard the door handle slide open. I then woke up. My door was wide open which was funny cos my mum always shut it when she went to bed.
I turned my light on and went to shut it, on the floor was all mud as if someone had just came inside from my garden, and it was still wet. I ran to my parents room and told them so my dad went to check it out. There were footprints in the mud in our garden and the back door had been kicked down, how scary is that?[xx(]
