I know this is a late post, but who has seen the new one and what did you think? I saw it last night and liked it. The original still holds its own as the better of the two though. Whats with these new "fast" zombies lately? Either way its worth going to see, just make sure you sit through the credits to see more of the ending!

I saw it on the night it came out, and this is what I have to say. . . I think it was a good movie, good characters (with the exception of a few), lots of hot guys shooting big guns, hot chick in the shower etc. However, it was a terrible remake, they should have not put them in a mall, then they could have just called it something different and it would have been yet another great zombie movie. I have a bit of animocity twards the movie because it did not do the origonal justice. But as a movie I liked it, and I'm going to see it again.

i thought it was great. as usual, the original is the better, but as far as remakes go it was enjoyable. and i must say i was iffy about seeing it since the remake of night of the living dead sucked so bad.

They're also remaking Day of the Dead. I'm terrified to see whats going to be done with this movie. Frankly it worries me......I'll see it anyway, of course.

Re-makes seems to be the trend lately. As long as they dont mess with Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th remakes, we are ok for now.

I already made my post I'm sure but it was pretty good. The zombies resembled those of Resident Evil so that was kinda cool. Story was a lot more action packed than the original. The only thing I didn't like was that the zombies could run.
Uh, if there's a steady paycheck, I'll believe anything you say!

I finally got to see it today and I loved it! Was it better than the original? It's a toss up for me. There were some things about new one that I liked better than the original, at least to the best of my recollection regarding the original. It's been some time since I have seen the original so I might have to rent it some time to refresh my memory. Even though it may not stack up well in some ways when compared to the original I had a great time and believe that this particular movie stands quite well on it's own. I also thought the soundtrack was kick ass!

I went and saw this a few times in the theatre and liked it more each time.I couldn't wait for the DVD to come out and picked it up the first day.No it won't replace the original but I still thought it was a pretty good movie in its own right.Plus I'm a huge Sarah Polley fan :D

I remember seeing that on payperview when I was living in Alabama. It was definitely gory, and of course, the originals are always tops. I think I saw Van Helsing the same day. I was in a horror mood that day...
