Why Freddy Kruger Rocks

I have a few things I would like to say about the wonderful Fred Kruger.

First of all, Freddy, unlike most movie "monsters" has character. He talks, and jokes around while he's making you run for your life.

Also, Freddy will run. Jason and Micheal Meyers have a tendancy to be right behind you even though you've been running at 10 mph and hes been walking at a comfortable stride.

And, Freddy gets you in your friggin dreams. There's no escape from that. You can only stay awake for so long then....POW!!!sleep, and death.

One more thing, Freddy is creative. He doesn't just go around hacking people up left and right. He plays with people before slicing them up an pouring their blood all over the cieling.

those are only a few reasons why Freddy Rocks. Tell me yours.

Yeah Freddy is cool, but not the coolest if you ask me. Michael Myers takes that spot, well Jason too in a way, but only in Friday Part 5-7 (and ofcause Freddy vs Jason), and even though I think Ken Kirzinger was a great Jason (damn he is big), then my favorite Jason is Kane Hodder.
If we go beyond slasher movies, then my favorite of "the five" (Leatherface, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger and Pinhead) must be Pinhead.
Also my oppinion about Freddy is highly based upon Robert Englund's acting. Anyother in that role, and Freddy wouldn't be as attractive to me, as he is now.

I just think that Freddy is so much different than your typical horror movie slasher. Robert Englund's acting is a huge part of Freddy's character, but it's also the way he's written. The fact that he loves to play with people, crack jokes, and basically scare them as much as possible before going in for the kill. Another thiung about Freddy is It's easy to know who he is, and what his personality traits are, which makes him easier to identify with than Jason, Micheal Myers, and Leatherface. I will say that Pinhead is a very well written, and well acted charachter, and one of my favorites, however Freddy will always be #1 for me.

Yeah that is the key word "identify". That is the main reason people in many cases thinks Freddy is a far better character than Jason, Michael etc. I just identify with him in a different way :P

freddy is awsome. i love being his niece. well not really i mean my uncles name really is Freddy kruger. but its spelled different. he gets alot of fone calls on halloween and friday the thirteenth. but i mean it is stupid that when you have micheal meyers and jason chasing you that they are like five feet behind you and they are walking like its a strol in the park and your running your freakin legs off. and Jason is so ugly. no wonder why he got pushed in the lake in Freddy vs. Jason. [8D] but i mean freddys glove is just priceless. you got jason with his machete and mick with his knife. But a glove thats just genus.

You think Jason is ugly, but Freddy is hot or what? :D
Anyway there is a reason why Jason can catch up with people even if they run, and he dont. He is after all a ghost ;)
With Michael then I think it is cool the way he walks. He actually wins because people panics. That is properbly one of the key elements in all the slasher movies out there. Young teenagers who panics because the big mass murder (or serial killer) is after them, and then they fall and drops they keys and so on. They just dont talk for ages like Freddy does before they kill. Actually that is one of the coolest things I liked about Freddy vs Jason. Jason just kills now, instead of standing outside a window peeping. They are both portrait as "realistic" as possible, when you look at their strenght and the way they are. So thumps up for that movie. It is one of the best in the 2 movie series :)

Puh-leaze. Freddy is the greatest slasher of all time. His one liners are what make him the coolest. For one thing he dresses beter then the rest. He's more creative with his killing techniques. I could talk about him all night.

Creativity is not something he has a whole lot of, in the older movies. I mean, he has all this power in the dream world, and the only thing he can come up with, is talking them to death.. lol. Again I have to refer to Freddy vs Jason. Here you see creativity! This is how he uses his power in the dreamworld, and not just slishing some teens with his glove, or other trivial stuff. Well to be fair there has been some creativity in the other movies, but not much, not even close. No sorry I just dont think he is cool, and I especially dont like his one liners. But yeah I have to agree with the outfitt thing. I like that, but in the end no-one beats the creativity of Barkers universe in Hellraiser. The cenobites dresses far better. :)

Okay people Freddy is the ultimate killer. I mean just look at the guy! [|)]
He actually runs after his ''prey''(unlike michael myers and jason) he TALKS (unlike michael myers and jason)and he stands around taunting the teenagers to scare the crap out of them before he either kills them or their friends. He definitly has the looks goin on... I mean, he looks so much better than Jason who walks around *and he's huge might I add* with his big old coat on(no effense to the people that like him better than Freddy). No wonder he got pushed into the lake at Crystal Lake in Freddy VS. Jason. HE WAS BUTT UGLY!
That brings up the movie Freddy VS. Jason. Freddy goes though ALL that trouble to wake Jason up to help himself get remembered so he can start his killing spree again, and what does Jason do? TURN ON FREDDY! And poor Freddy, he actually runs around chasing the teenagers that are running away from him, while Jason on the other hand sees the teenagers run away and starts taking his nice strol to catch up! And then what! You see the kids running their little legs off at like 10mph, and when they stop to take a breath... BAM! Jason is right behind then and whacks their head off! What's up with that ?[}:)]
