Actually, I got the two volume video set of Dawn of the Dead out of the library last week. It is a gross-out all right, but analogous to the 70s, particularly since Romero set it in a mall, a place he considered to be populated with zombies on any normal day. Unfortunately, as is the case with a lot of trilogies (like the "Terminator" trilogy, the "Matrix" trilogy and particularly the "Scream" trilogy) "Day of the Dead" really runs out of steam, sort of like Romero tried to tap the same well once too often and came up dry. I've heard rumors that Romero has written a script for a fouth "Dead" movie, but so far can't find anyone that wants to produce it. Ain't that a shot to the head?

It's only magic...if you believe...

So are you guys jazzed up to see the remake of the movie then? I think it might actually be kinda cool although I also think that there's a creepy eerieness to the original that can't be duplicated.

Uh, if there's a steady paycheck, I'll believe anything you say!
