Here's the dish on this new thriller. It is nothing like the original what-so-ever. It's a completely new movie more reality based on the actual events that took place. The director of the film had a real live interview with a surviver of the tragedy. NO LIE!!! It's suppose to be far more gorish. The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is my favorite horror movie, I can't wait to see this one;) Check out the movies official site, it's way awesome!

OMG!!![:0] I finally saw this movie tonight. It was way not what I had expected. I left the theater with my jaw down. I had to tell myself to breath. Any bad thing anyone says about it, don't believe. It's a movie that leaves u thinking "Jesus Christ, this sh*t actually happened." It has actual footage of police investigating the Hewitt house and it has actual footage of the real Thomas Hewitt a.k.a.Leatherface. I was amazed at the cinematography. It'll blow your mind. If you haven't seen this film yet...get up and go see it. It's so worth the money. The old one focuses on the character Sally and this one focuses on Leatherface and what he does to his victoms. GRAPHICLY!!! I'm still all like "whoa". I'm not getting any sleep tonight.[:0][:0][:0]

I totally agree Amy, my husband and I went to watch it the other night and WOW!!! It was really graphic, but it is nothing like I expected... it even freaked my husband out and nothing in movies freaks him out.... it's DEFINITLY worth going to see!

"I spent eight years trying to reach him and another seven trying to keep him locked up,
because I knew what was behind his eyes is purely and simply evil...
He became an obsession with me until I realized there wasn’t anything within him neither
conscience nor reason. He wasn't even remotely human!" -Dr Loomis, Halloween

People. For starters, the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" never really happened. It's loosely based on Ed Gein. The same person that: Psycho and Hannibal Lecter was based on. Tobe Hooper himself said that. The tagline said that it was true just to get you going, heh heh. The original was far superior. It's grainy, snuff look, with no supersater acting made it a real classic.

I have never been so scared in my life. I almost pee'd myself when this guy walked down the aisle and infront of me in the theatre. I wish i could have posted this earlier so more people got the opportunity to see it. Amazing movie, really cool effect to the way the film looks. And the characters aren't so bad to look at either! MUST SEE!

funky, in that Claire Huxtable kind of way

It was pretty good! Usually remakes suck behind but this one was good. I actually saw it twice.

Uh, if there's a steady paycheck, I'll believe anything you say!

ok,finaly the movie ended up in my town.
I love it, the horrorscenes are - horrable :D
Even the characters, like the fat woman or the child, are great.
They use the amazing horror of the first movie, like the first kill with the hammer or that hook, and put into a new jacket of scenes and actors.

Yes realy I like it:D.

It was really good and any new elements they used or new twists worked out really well. Its funny because I haven't seen the original in such a long time (may have to rent it asap) but I really enjoyed this!

Well, first, i think this is the best movie EVER. and, amy, u should think. the real story is in wisconcin not texas and it was Ed Gein not thomas hewitt in real life, he didnt even have a chainsaw. but it was a great movie, tho the police footage isnt real.

At least ChopTop got it right. the new TCM is a load of crap - person on meathook is a guy, not a girl, leatherface hardly ever has one, he does cut his leg with chainsaw, but then does not get run over a truck when chasing Sally, all characters except 'maybe' leatherface are different. @ the hitchhicker is a girl - not choptop

I didnt like it either, but what did you expect from a remake.

The Texas chainsaw massacre was based on Ed Gein. He dug up corpses and decorated his person and home with dead bodies, he only killed two people. There were no survivors of his attacks.
