I've set up my first cyber haunted house (yay!) and I'm wondering if my main music file for most of the house is too big. I'm using a file of over 70k and some users have simply crashed. Do I need to use a smaller file size so things load faster? Will visitors wait for things to load or simply leave? I'm used to text and photos only so any sound file advice would help. :)

Hmm. Well, I like music in haunted houses, and every visitor's loading time seems to differ. I usually hate music on webpages too, but it helps set the mood for haunted houses, I think. Erm, I've visited your site before, and the stupid fotter keeps appearing on the middle of the page, obliterating half the text. But it is nice from what I can see.

I think you are right tho about using smaller file sizes. I can dump my main file and pick up a handful of smaller ones. The tracks here are great for haunted houses, don't you think?

I't was ****ing awesome Nightcat, I enjoyed the music that you had, Especially the little girl humming some tunes, Pretty creepy. The problem for myself was that most of the pictures didn't come up on my computer, They were all cracked pictures. All in all I loved it, Great story line and I didn't realize that you gave us the options of where to go, Good idea and that's a great site you got there, Thumbs up. ;)

Thanks! I'll show up at your site sometime, sure. Do you ever get visitors who sign up and you have no idea who they are? I have one now and he thinks I know him. I like giving options because to me it feels a lot worse to chicken out in a haunted house then to just go the whole way through. Can you tell I grew up on choose your own adventure books? :)

I know, a lot about Angelfire is stupid. I hate all the pop ups, and I can't afford to pay for the site, so I'm stuck with them. But at least they gave me more room than my ISP, AOL.

Sounds cool. I have only 80 some pages, but I'm working on more. I've just reached a point where I wonder what I'm doing it for, you know?

I made it to the Phantom my first time playing without even choosing the wrong way. Is that the end when you get to the party? Kudos to me!

Glad to hear somebody made it out alive. ;)

Yes, Devil, I like it there. The people seem laid back and it is nice to talk to horror fans who watch the films, if you know what I mean. :)

Yeah, They are very laid back there, It might be because alot of them know each outside the message board. It could also be that were all in the same age group too but that's not to much of an issue for myself.

That helps. It also helps they are friendly and don't make issues. I can't tell you how many forums I go to where people will bully one poster to chase them off. Didn't we stop that garbage in grade school?

I thought chat rooms were for starting arguements, not bulletin boards.

I'm just kidding, LOL! I got you the first time, I just have a weird sense of humor. Example, I love wearing my 'I slept with a ghost in...' t-shirts in public. It freaks people out. Hehehehe. No wonder people say I need meds. :)

Hehehe. Speaking of which, since Chainsaw is getting a remake, I wonder if they will dust off POTO for a true gorefest. I want a demented Phantom that slashes and bombs his way thru the opera. Sigh. I'd like a version with an NC-17 rating at least, something like Argento's Opera, but more blatant.
