I posted this topic on the Halloween forum aswell.
Here is a Warning for any of you who were anxiously awaiting the supposed "Unrated" DVD release of "House of 1000 corpses". Though the DVD has now been released, Lions Gate Home Entertainment has decided to stick with the 'R' Rated cut of the film, so the 'Unrated' version reported to have been created won't be released.
I was so disappointed! I went out and got the damn thing, and it was the exact same thing as in the theater--My own fault though, I didn't even notice the "R" raiting on it. In Rob Zombie's interview last April, he said ALL deleated scenes would be on the DVD--SOoo I didn't even look at the rating.
Not that it's not worth having(even if it is a rip-off of Chainsaw Massacre), but I was SO looking forward to the un-cut version.
On a lighter note--Lions Gate will be putting out a sequel to HOTC next April to coincide with the one year anniversary of it's release. I guess we won't be seeing the un-cut version of THAT either!
