Okay, does anybody remember any of the old horror games that were out. I only remember one horror game they had out for Nintendo it was a Friday The 13th game. I was practically addictive to it actually, and thought it was cool back then, but today you can not find that game anywhere. I don't think they put out much of that game, so anyone who has it probably has a horror game classic. Does anyone have any other old horror games or know of any others that were out?

Okay, Trippers. I'll see your Friday the 13th for Nintendo game and up you a "Halloween"...for the Artari 2600! That's right! Using really bad graphics and one of the first uses of sound (The Halloween Theme played once the game ended) you were the babysitter who had to go through a number of rooms and save the babies in them before Michael Myers came out and cut off their little heads. In typical Artari fashion, Michael got faster and faster with every level until you finally had to lose. When Michael finally did get you...you're badly drawn babysitter ran around without a head with twin spouts of blood spurting out of her neck. Now that's entertainment!
The graphic on the box the game came in was the same poster used for the film. The only difference was that instead of the phrase "The Night when HE came home," it said "The Game when HE came home."

I HAVE Castlevaina--I also have SPLATTER HOUSE for turboGrafx-16, and I know it's not one of the old classics, but still a great horror game, EVIL DEAD:fist full of boomstick. I also have several RESIDENT EVIL games, PARASITE EVE, SILENT HILL, DRACULA: the last sanctuary, ALONE in the DARK: the new nightmare....et-set-era, et-set-era.

Thanks Dr!. I never knew they had Halloween for Atari 2600 today that must be very hard to find too. Well I have heard of Castlevania, it was very awesome, and I would play it for hours and hours. You could also find it on sega.com I believe they have a demo of the game along with some of the old games you can play online. Also for the 7th Guests I haven't heard of it, but it sounds awesome, and thanks for the link very interesting.

How about "Haunted House" for Atari 2600? Also there was a "Nightmare on Elm Street" game for Nintendo where 4 players could play. I still love the "Friday the 13th" game for Nintendo though. I just wonder why they cant make games that good anymore? Either way I finished it over and over again!

LOL, I remember the Haunted House game for Atari--You had to search the house for pieces to an ern--W/O getting killed by ghosts, bats, and spiders--I LOVED that game......I wish I still had it--I know I can buy it at one of the retro game places--maybe I will some day. OH!
and welcome to the board Mr.Sasquatch--have fun on the Gore Floor(Forum)LOL

I had Haunted House too! Remember another one that was just like it, Adventure, in which you had to go through a bunch of rooms fighting dragons (which my son said looked like ducks) in order to find the magic chalace? That one was fun too!

I remember every game that you guys are talking about and they all kicked ass. I think I remember that Friday the 13th game having you in a boat or some **** like that and then you in a house trying to get away from Jason. I think I at one point of the game you could fight Jason but I'm not to sure. I also remember that Halloween game but the one I remember was in the arcades, Awesome game but with very poor graphics compared to the Friday the 13th game, Well, It was the early 80's. Does anyone remember the Friday the 13th T.V series?, I used to watch it all the ****ing time I loved it.;)

i saw a few episodes, a little too tame for my taste, missed halloween, would love to get my claws on it, but had the friday the thirteenth game back in the day and loved splatterhouse 2 chillseeker, just beat the crap outta fistfull of boomstick, need a walkthrough? i couldn't find one on the net, i also have a relic system that has been outdated even though it's not a classic they were still some pretty good titles in there,
ever heard of nighttrap for the panasonic 3do?
it's a pretty cool game starring (kimberly) from "different strokes" if you fail to navigate through the traps she gets kidnapped by aliens while in her underwear, the scenes stirred up alot of talk form the censors, but honestly it wasn't quite that revealing.
i still can't find games for it anywhere.

but have we forgotten about the early to mid eighties thrash death and speed metal? venom, slayer, hallows eve, testament, death, possessed, coven, and too many more to mention? the greatest music ever made,
anybody ever heard of the "white pigs" they did a cover of the munsters theme that was a traditional melody on all hallows eve for my "family", great stuff.

Yeah those are mostly horror oriented games, not necessarily the BEST games...

PS2, looks for Shadow of the Colossus, shouldn't be more then 20 bucks, TOTALLY worthy.

Oo if you're doing an FF binge, don't bother with FFX-2... unless you REALLY like J-pop (Japanese pop) otherwise it's just gonna be bright flashy and annoying...

Do yourself a favor, finish FFX and then just jump right to FFXII (12). But then that's like the next 200+ hours of video games you'll play, so the list will be useless! (FFXII is huge and gorgeous and esy to jsut kill hours and hours and hours and hours.....)

Has anyone played RE4 on the Wii? Its basically the same as the Gamecube version, but uses the "point and shoot" function with the Wiimote.

Manhunt 2 for the Wii looks awesome! I heard its been banned in Britain and may get delayed over here. It comes out in July for Wii and PS2.

yeah, it was going to come out about tomorrow I think, but it had an AO rating so stores wouldn't buy it, so they're delaying it for editing so they can take it back down to M, so then, of course, stores will buy it.

Anyone played The Thing on the PC? That's the scariest game ever made IMHO. It just makes you so paranoid, you're afraid of what will happen at any moment. And there's a forboding sense of impending doom too. Never experienced that with other games. The Thing basically freaked me out. Great movie adapted into a great game.
