Okay, out of curiosity what fascinates you about your most favorite creature. I love creatures and I would have to say my favorite would be the Vampire and Werewolf. In my view there is no other creature that could be better then them, they are so unique and interesting.

Trippers,

I definitely agree about the werewolf. By day, an innocent, under the full moon and instrument of rage and destruction. He is, for all intents and purposes, a hairy version of what Robert Louis Stevenson envisioned when he penned "Dr. Jeykle and Mr. Hyde." In other words, he is the version of humanity stripped to primative savagry.
It's interesting to note that when Spenser Tracy was asked to play Jeykle/Hyde back in the 1940s, he tried to convince the director of the film to change the story so that Jeykle wasn't taking some scifi potion, but was drinking alcohol instead. Tracy, who was an alcoholic of epic purportions, apparently believed -- based on his own drunken escapades -- that booze really brought out not only the primative but all the demons as well.
A case of life imitating art?

I am fascinated with the Vampire, I have always been. I think that is what made me want to be a funeral director as well as a makeup artist. The coffins always made me wonder......

most of all I Have to say VAMPIRE!!!
Because they are so mystical, and it is not that they are scary, It is because deep down most of us admire them for the ability not to age, and live forever....to a vampire beauty IS forever. And when you live forever, ever if you ARE ugly, your chances of finding someone attractive who actually likes you greatly improves, Cause you have forever to find that person...lol

My fav horror creature, is actually not such a terrible creature after all. They're human beings! My fav type of horror creatures are children, they bring an essence of creepy, yet I can relate to them, because I'm only 14. This is probably why my fav horror movies are 'The Exorcist'-Regan MacNeil, 12; 'Children Of The Corn'-Murderous teens and children, dif. ages; and 'The Blair Witch Project'-Heather, Josh, Mike, unknown ages, yet you know they're younger than 30. I just consider them really big kids. Lol. Those are all the reasons, plus the fact that when there's children in the movie, it makes me that much more interested. :)

That was the essence of the Elm Street flicks, too. The whole idea was that Freddy wanted to eliminate the children of the townsfolk that fried him. Hence the elimination of all the teenagers.

Gotta be the Vampire--the modern vampire that is. It's all about mystery and seduction. A tall, dark, handsome, mysterious stranger enters your bed chambers. With a smokey stare and a firy imbrace, he takes you, and you can say or do nothing, giving in deliciously to the wanton desires of.......a crazed blood thirsty creature of the night, who wants nothing more that a quick fix, and off he goes to the next unsuspecting female. Oh, but I'm not bitter or anything mind you--I wanted to be left without a heart and soul, an empty shell just wandering around......waiting, waiting for just the right moment--

Then you outta love the new film coming out soon, called "Underworld". It's about a female Vampire warrior--who falls in love with a Werewolf.

Plot: One night while riding the subway, medical student Michael Corvin is caught in a fierce firefight between two mysterious "gangs." He soon discovers that he's become a pawn in a centuries-old rivalry between two clandestine and powerful groups: Lycans and Vampires.

Striking and sophisticated vampire Selene is a top ranking member of the Death Dealers, an elite Vampire warrior class charged with hunting the Lycans into extinction. She accidentally stubles across evidence that the Lycans have plans to kidnap a young human doctor -- Michael -- but she's not sure why. Neither side has ever had much use for people, preferring to avoid the dangers of close human contact. Selene alerts the arrogant, aristocratic Kraven, regent Vampire leader, but he dismisses her concerns. "The Lycans are a savage, undisciplined bunch," he sneers, "common street thugs." How could they possibly mount any kind of organized operation against the great Vampire dynasty? Kraven is more concerned with elevating his status and keeping himself pleasured by the other female vampires in their sprawling mansion compound.

But Selene won't let go of her hunch, and disobeying Kraven, steals away from the estate to shadow Michael through the city. In spite of her centuries of paramilitary training, she finds herself becoming curiously interested in Michael -- who, like all other humans, has no idea that Vampires or Lycans even exist. In the course of her surveillance, Selene uncovers a Lycan plot that could prove fatal to the entire Vampire race -- but none of her kind will believe her.

Michael is eventually bitten by the Lycan leader, Lucian, and he begins to transform into a werewolf. What will Selene do now that Michael is unwillingly becoming her mortal enemy? -EnterTheUnderworld.com
