I might be getting my mom to rent this movie from the store, later today. (I'm so excited! :D) It's called "May". It's about this girl who's only friend was a doll, and then she grew up; but even as an adult, her only companion was her doll. That was until one day when she saw this "beautiful male", and she wanted to start a relationship with him, but I'm guessing by reading the back of the cover, he broke her heart. It went on to say: "She found that humans are not perfect, only [u]parts</u> of them are." [:0] I think she cuts 'em up, the people I mean, but I'm not sure. Sounds like a great movie! :D

I haven't seen the film but i have read books that have much the same plot, i am also seeking guidance in finding a title to a film i saw when i was much younger on chiller theater, the most vivid scenes are still in my sub concious, there was a small child traveling by bus through the forest, when these were-creatures attacked, escaping through the rear exit she runs into the woods and ends up at this small cottage where she's taken in by a voluptuous vampire who is running an orphanage, i saw this film more than twenty years ago and can find no information on the title, i would be greatly thankfull for any assistance in this endeavor, keep slashin'

She kind of sounds like a female version of Norman Bates, Maybe it's his long lost sister, Norma Bates, lol.[:p]

It looks like it could be Nightbreed(aka Cabal) but I could be wrong.

nightbreed was a great flick, but wrong decade, this film was made early to mid seventies, the vampiric head mistress reminded me of some of the hammer films but this isn't one of them, has anyone ever seen this film?

the hammer films were movies made by hammer studios from 1936-present day, with over 275 titles to their credit, regretfully not all were of the horror type, they were the first to bring christopher lee in all his blood drenched fanged glory to the big screen in the horror of dracula in 1958 it's still nice to see him on the silver sheet these days kickin' obi-wan and young vaders butt in attack of the clones (still say no-way yoda would take ol' drac) but the core of their charm can be found in the titles curse of frankenstein, dracula (with mr lee) curse of the mummy, frankenstein has risen from the grave, and plauge of the zombies from 1966, my favs are the christopher lee vs peter cushing dracula series flicks, cushing played van-helsig like no-other battling with swords axes and sometimes just going bare nuckeled toe-to-toe with the vamp king, great films, but alas the late great peter cushing is no longer with us,joe bob briggs from monster-vision is holding a tribute to the ol' doctor this month from the 26-28 in cherry hill NJ hail to the great ones, also interestingly enough hammer films has joined forces with pictures in paradise (pip) to bring six new movies to the screen on a five year contract starting production this year, i'm foamin at the fangs waiting for em,
you can find out more at hammer films.com
i'm still trying to decipher the title of my movie in question, keep on slashin,

it didn't appear to be so in their encounter in attack of the clones, looked to me like the little gremlin met his match, it's also shamefull not to pay deserved tribute and homage to the horror forefathers, it was those films "controversial for the era"
that hacked the path for the misery i suffer today, from all the "final destination, scream, still know what you did last summer" types of garbage from the (new generation), that have lost all the authenticity and suspence of victorian era horror,
simply put "respect your elders"

Hi, I saw May and thought it was very strange.
I didn't think it was that scary, just a bit gory.

i too have high expectations, i would ask on which side of the war
your undead heart lyes, or should i rely on your title to make that determination (vampiress)?
as for myself, i'm with the loup-garoos,
one question for anyone with insight, are the werewolves in the movie stalking on two legs or all fours?
even though they are depicted to be ravaging beasts, i tend to think that the full transformation into wolf, takes away some much needed sense of character,
anybody with me on this?

Yeah, I'm also with you on the on this one, All the teen slasher flicks of nowadays is kind of getting repetitive. I did like the first Scream movie though and the Scary Movie franchise is pretty cool but I love the horror flicks from the 70's and 80's the best, That was a great era of horror movies. Don't get me wrong, I know when you say victorian era, It means from the early 1900's(I think?) but anything is better then the teen flicks of nowadays. Actually, Some of the flicks from nowadays aren't so bad like Jeepers Creepers, 28 Days Later, Resident Evil, And so on.

i couldn't agree with you more devil, allow me to further my explanation, when i speak of victorian era horror i refer to movies made with a setting in that era, and true some of todays filmakers do have alot to bring to the table, 28 days, resident evil, having been based on the romero movies, and point in fact dogs of war, have you seen it yet? instant classic,
when i vaugely speak of (new generation) horror i'm talking about the bubble gum, sugar coated, barbie doll, marketed for teen audience films that seem to have lost the luster of yesteryear, i too thought scream 1 was good, would you believe that it remains the highest grossing horror film in history?
something to think about, you know what i mean?
