Halloween? Sorry, but I just can't help other than to laugh at that. Oddly the only movie that ever really scared me was TTCM(79) and The Pit And The Pendulum with Vincent Price. That one actually made me JUMP. Not just paranoid.

Best

1) Day of The Dead 85 (When the dude gets his guts all ripped open at the end that freaked the crap out of me the first time I saw it)
2) The Exorcist (the ending kicks ass)
3) Phantasm 2 (like the evil dead but with the tall man)
4) Evil Dead (Bruce Campbell is The MAN)
5) Halloween 2 (Mike is really at his best in this one)
6) Zombie (Love the plot and Fulci really comes through effectswise)
7) Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Jason is the man in this one)
8) A Nightmare on Elm Street (gotta love all the freddy goodness)
9) Shining 90's Remake (Awesome Stephen King epic)
10) Pet Sematary (a childhood favorite)

Crap

1) Don't Go into the woods alone (a disgrace to slasher flicks)
2) Juarez - (horrible maverick company garbage)
3) Sleepaway Camp 3 (uh more money anyone?, and why is the one black guy portrayed like a thug and brings a gun into the camp? Were the directors racist?)
4) Halloween Ressurection (busta rhymes kicking michael myers ass, nuff said)
5) Creep Show 3
6) Alien 3 (Sigourney Weaver dies!, and what was up with going back to 1 alien?, that was stupid)
7) Friday the 13th part 5 (worst acting and plot ever and no Jason)
8) A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 (why would freddy possess somebody when he can just enter dreams and kill people? or better yet use someone to come into the real world?)
9) Jason Goes to Hell
10) Critters IV

4) Day of the Dead (Remake)

I didn't think day of the dead 08 was that bad, at least it had some big names in it unlike alot of bad films out there. It entertained me and I thought it was a good zombie flick. (Diary of the dead is out in 2 weeks! can't wait. :D)

It's because I HATE Zombie movies, they're borring. The only zombie movies I like are 28 Days/Weeks later.

Vampirexpsycho -- was wondering if you have arachnophobia; I don't myself, and I suspect this is key, because I just thought it was campy and fun.

Malachai -- I noticed you said no movie has sufficiently scared you; you'll need nerves of steel to not get goosebumbs during The Orphanage (El Orfanato, 2007).

1. The Tingler

4. Big Trouble in Little China (Dungeons & Dragons inspired horror effects; pure joy from start to finish)
5. The Black Scorpion
6. Manos, the Hands of Fate (very funny on MST3K; truly transporting when watched w/out the commentary)

Five Smart Horror Films that Are Often Overlooked

1. The Wicker Man (1974)

My dad made me watch Dog Soldiers with him because I didn't want to watch Ginger Snaps alone and asked him if he could watch it with me, when I was like 8-9. Haha.
I liked it, made me jump a few feet in the air but that's okay. XD

Worst Movies; list 2

× From Hell
× Jaws: the Revenge
× Alone in the Dark
× Dementia 13
× Urban Legends 2

Best Movies; list 2:

× Red Dragon
× Gremlins(rules: Keep it away from bright light, don't get it wet, and never feed it after midnight.)
× The Omen(1976 version)
×The Sixth Sense
× The Bone Collector(Not really a horror but a thriller, although it was the only movie that actually made me cry!)

Oh no, you didn't like From Hell? It was certainly flawed--or should I say, Heather Graham'ed--but I liked the ominous atmosphere, Johnny Depp's character, the surreal while-on-opium sequences (especially the grapes pulsing like hearts).

P.S.
I am 25 and have never seen Gremlins. Is it too late for me since I never forged the nostalgic bond, or would it still be fun?

Are there any roach horror movies?

Also, have you seen the roach in Wall-E? I thought they were able to (somehow!) make it cute, but I was wondering your take on that.

Kudos to you for opening your cinematic horizons. Most 15-year olds don't have any interest in some of the movies you're watching.

WORST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN

Doctor Gore, also known as The Body Shop. Anyone seen it? Did J.G. Patterson, Jr. make an even worse movie?

And please keep in mind that I can enjoy flicks that are so bad they're good. List my list above, which I quote from here:

2. Plan 9 From Outer Space
