I'm guessing that most on here will answer a resounding yes here, but I'm just wondering. See years ago I was said definitely no,i'm a born sceptic and very scientifically minded. But then a few years ago I had a couple of strange encounters in the flat I lived go at the time. First my kettle unplugged itself with a loud bang while I was laid down resting-nearly s**t myself! It was a stiff plug that I'd never bothered to pull out, just too stiff.
Another time I got into bed and shot out again fast! See my duvet and sheet had been rearranged so the sheet was now on top of the duvet, freaked me out,i can tell you! I've tried rationalising it but well no one else had a key,and I had no friends really(always been a loner). When my sister came sound for a visit a few days later her daughter,my niece Jeniffer, hesitated before coming in,she felt something and that was before I told her what happened.
Since these incidents I've been a lot more open minded and have developed a stronger interest in ghosts, hauntings and the paranormal, and now I watch Most Haunted on TV most times its on.
So how many on here believe in such things or have had strange encounters?

Yep, I have. A while ago I was preparing to go to sleep, I turned off the lights and got into bed. After five minutes or so I heard a "click" sound. I sat up and looked around my room to see if anything was turned on. I saw my Hang Up on the Wall MP3/CD Player(xP such a long name) was on, thought I'd forgotten to turn it off so I went and turned it off. I got into bed once again, and heard the click sound again. I sighed and just looked at it in awe, because it began to play a song on it's on. I got mad and plugged it off.

The next day I told my stepdad what happened so he checked it out to see if there was something wrong with it.(I can trust him because he works with computers and programs). He said everything was normal. I shrugged it off not thinking about it again, but when I went to sleep that day it happened again. It still does it and I've no idea why! -_-

I believe in them and I am sensitive to spirits. One knocked my sunglasses off of the table yesterday morning and no, they were not lying on the edge and no one was there to knock them down.

Oh i need to check my typing when using this phone. Should be in ghosts but when I go to type 'in' I usually get 'go' instead. Same if I mean to type 'if', i get 'he' or 'id' instead!
Back on topic, some years ago when I was a kid we all went into town. When we got back the ball of string that was tightly bound was all unravelled on the kitchen floor. Also i later found out that one of the previous tenants of my mom's house was an old lady who's bed was in the living room, and she'd died go that bed! And mom's next door neighbour once had to have a priest in to exorcise a ghost.

I've never experienced anything myself but I believe that there are way more things we don't know about our existences than we do know. I'm a scientist so i try to keep an open but cautious outlook.

Yes , I believe that a living things energy somehow goes on....I used to think that what people were seeing was an imprint but after some reading and one strange encounter I definitely believe that after death ones consciousness can continue on in another form . Thanks , Eclipse

Hey, I haven't had any encounters with ghosts yet and i don't have the power and ability to face one. I am very sensitive and weak hearted that once i fainted seeing an accident. But I strongly believe in ghosts. My father thinks i'm sick cause i always explains in a ghostly way. For example if something was lost i explain it in a paranormal way. I am very religious and stronlgy believe in Gods also. IF THERE ARE GODS THERE IS ALSO GHOSTS. IF THERE IS GOOD THERE IS ALSO EVIL.

That is not true at all, Cyclops. I am not starting an arguement but to each their own on religious beliefs. Just because one is a horror fan, does not mean we are all athiests.

No problemo, Cyclops must have a very deep believe in supernatural rather than religious. It is not a problem being a atheist or a communist when they are not forcing others to follow their ideas

What about in the case of Huttoism, where there's only one person who actually believes in it?

Yes I agree completely - that is why I said I am not starting an argument and to each their own. I detest when others force folks to believe what they feel everyone should be doing.

I do believe in them but I won't deny that I would love to see one. I see myself as very open minded. My friend doesn't believe in them but I do.

Huttoism is a religion I came up with about half a year ago. I haven't really written up any distinct beliefs about it, but it centers around a man named David Hutto. Who, actually, is still among the living. Healthy as far as I know.
