Howdee all, just a quick one before I get ready for work. I'm Larry up in the north of england where the chill wind blows!
I'm looking to find some more horor, particularly gothich horror, Poe,Lovecraft etc. I like horror movies but prefer the psychological stuff rather than the out abnd out gore fest like Saw etc.
anyway, of to read some posts and make a cup of tea....

I'll leave you with something I came up with the other day.

Reading a book as the moon turns red
to fill your very heart with dread
the shadows creep across the floor
is that a knock upon the door?

your eyes are wide your breath is caught
your hair is standing not where it ought
you wish that you were tucked in bed
but fear you may wake up dead!!

Honestly, I can't figure out why so many people think Saw is such a poorly thought-out slasher movie. It's the opposite really. The first Saw movie was actually a psychological crime-drama(Or thriller, basically), with the occasional violence, though when it got to those parts they made it very realistic. The sequels however, are quite what people think of them.

Well yea,the first one was a purer psychological thriller, but perhaps they felt it was a springboard for a gore fest. It seems gory movies are more in vogue at the moment, but I prefered to be sacred than repulsed. I like scary movies rather than hairy movies...
