I could recall...

I was thinking about someone again last night. I couldn't sleep.
So, I decided to make this. It's not really a poem nor a song, I'm not sure exactly what it's called.


For Kate.

I could recall the memories of yesterday.
I could recall the happy times together.
I could recall all the cliché romantic things I said to you.
I could recall how I tried so many times to express my strong, deep love for you.
I could recall how I finally got the courage to say…
“I love you.”
I could recall how I gave my whole heart to you.
I could recall how you acted as if I never did anything.
I could recall how you constantly subtly pushed me away.
I could recall how I kept trying my best to show my love for you.
I could recall how you continued to ignore it.
I could recall how you tore my mind apart as I kept on trying for so very long.
I could recall those last few days… When it all ended.
Now I can’t get you out of my head.
I think about you day and night.
Constantly.
All I think about anymore is you.
No matter what I do, I cannot rid my mind of you.
I hear you’re even married now.
I can’t begin to explain how much that tortures me.
But now that you haunt my every thought..
Now that you haunt my every dream..
Now that you haunt my every moment..
No matter what you’ve done,
I still love you.
And no matter what you do,
I always will.
