View Full Version : Culture's Eternity(non-poetic poem)

This is a little non-poetic, artsy-fartsy type of poem I wrote about culture a few years ago. It's nothing but a simple text with no point in it's verses. Which in my opinion will only be understood by "non-poetic, artsy-fartsy" kind of people who prefer to call a spade... a spade.

To have ten thousand years of symbologies.
Limited to an idealism.
In the pentagram, all the magic.
In Ankh, the pseudo-gothicism.
So many cultures, yet so few.
Certainties in those fifteen winters.
To search for all eternity.
Shouts of thousand hoarse cultures.
Yet fashion destroyed their vanity.
Thousands carrying pointless symbols on their chests.
I know well how to be the minor of the sins.
But if I attach myself so much to eternity.
To death and it's golden fish.
I carry this convition with me.

Why, thank you. I really thought no-one would actually read it. I usually don't post anything but I'm bored and guess what! I'm on a two weeks vacation. I'm completely alone, all my friends are somewhere else where I can't reach them.
That's what happens when your plans don't work out and you're bored in Europe(that's right, I live in Europe). It's vacation and in just one blink, whoosh, the whole continent turns into a wasteland. ¬_¬
Gosh, I talk too much when I'm bored...

Haha, I won't. My first week of total boredom hasn't even begun. And I don't doubt that so I'll keep my word!

Thank you, Red. I really appreciate your opinion. =3 And I live in the Netherlands, also known as Holland, by people who are not familiar with the other name. =)

*VP smiles childishly at RH as they shake hands*
Well, it's like every other country, it has it's beautiful places and places you wish you'll never have to see again. =3 And about the tulips, it depends. I haven't seen any tulips where I live, they must grow near the sea, and I live exactly in the center of Holland. =3
Hmm... I wonder who Horrorman is private messaging... hehe

LOL. No, I'm a soul tormented by boredom. When I'm bored I check the profile of members online and see what they're doing. XD
