You are right on buddy. The scene where he grabs a lawnmower and rips through all the zombies is hysterical. It is one of goriest and funniest horror movies I have seen. You do have to have a twisted sense of humor to really enjoy it which happily I have. Horrorman likes it. HAHAHAHAHA-----

Funniest.. I think the funniest in my oppinion would be The Lost Skeleton Of Kadavra, which was a SciFi/Comedy/Horror. It was mostly a satire movie though. I mean, "Rower" and "We take our horrible mutilations seriously 'round these parts." are some of the most memorable quotes.

Awe, I'll try to watch those movies you guys just named. I haven't really seen any funny "horror" movie besides "Shaun of the Dead" which is in my opinion pure comedy. =S

I've been looking for Dead alive but can't find it anywhere, my halfbrother recommended it. ummm... I think the only funny horror movies i've seen are Shaun of the Dead and Army of Darkness. I didnt think that army of darkness wasvery funny though. I did see that part though in dead alive where he gets the lawnmower, hilarious!! I also saw the part where the old lady starts eating her soup and a piece of flesh lands in her soup and she keeps eating, that was awesome!!!(also gross though)

I love Dead Alive, great stuff. I make (or try to make) all my friends watch it. Has to be the unrated version though.

You're confusing two different movies. Dead or Alive is not the same movie as Dead Alive. Dead Alive (also known as Braindead) is a 1992 movie by directer Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) and was made in New Zealand. Its a zombie movie but also a comedy.

I can remember renting it about 15 years ago at a local video store cuz I loved the first one and one of my buddies told me the guy who directed the first did that one too so I got my folks to check it out for me. I felt really bad for renting it as soon as the film ended. The film made absolutely no sense and had no real ending, it just ends and it's really hard to follow what the hell is going on most of the time cuz it just cuts back and forth between hopper (how they got such a big name actor to do this piece of sh*t I have no idea) hackin' the place up and the dad and other son messing with the radio girl.

Wow, it really seems like "Dead Alive" is taking the gold.
I'm trying to think of some other stupid comedic horror movies. Maybe Evil Dead 2 or Texas Chain Saw 2!

Just saw Zombie Strippers this past weekend. The wife drug me to what I thought was gonna be a absolutely god awful experience. But low and behold I really had fun in this one, its chalk full of laughs and hot (I know it sounds weird) but hot freaking zombie chicks. Who ever would have thought flesh eaters could be so damn sexy. Might have to give it my vote!!!

There was quite a bit of humor in Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Anyone seen The Black Scorpion (1957, Warner Bros.)? It was beautifully shot but the acting and writing is deliciously ridiculous. Some of my favorite lines come right at the beginning:

SCIENTIST ONE: We've been driving all day, and that volcano doesn't seem to be any closer.
SCIENTIST TWO: Nobody put a gun in your back to make you become a geologist!
SCIENTIST ONE: (laughs) Yeah, but don't rub it in!

If you're stoned perhaps.

You're wife dragged you? And you didn't want to see it? Something sounds a bit off here.

Ok was "Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare (1991)" meant to be a comedy, because there were some funny parts - I don't know about funniest though - Army of Darkness rates up there. I need to see Dead Alive aparently.

I think Shaun of the Dead was funny. TCM 2 was just... Idk. It wasn't funny but wasn't scary. I enjoyed it though. Dig how he wears the suit. ;)

I don't really think this is true horror but "The People Under the Stairs" is a great movie with some horrific scenes. Certain parts make me laugh so hard even though they are not supposed to...

My vote for the funniest horror movie would be Sleepaway Camp part 2. I thought Sleepaway Camp 1 was terrible, but 2 was pretty funny. Part 3 is not too bad either.

My vote goes for Return of the Living Dead II. That's the one where the guy starts to work at medical supply warehouse that has corpses and half of animals that start coming to life. The zombies can talk in this one and they take the police radio and keep calling for more cops and more paramedics. Of course, they eat them once they show up.

Oops...I meant part 1, not part II.

For me, I would say The Dentist,
or Child's Play: Bride of Chucky
Beetlejuice was great for Comedy horror
And, lest I forget, Ghoulies and Critters
Plus at least 2 scenes from Repossessed were good

Well . . . . although Braindead ( Dead Alive) probably deserves it, I'm going to have to go with The Hills Have Eyes remake. I mean, come on, that scene at the end with the retard with encephalitis! haha! And then there's the rape retard scene, the burning Dad, and the "Where's Goggle!" voice on the walkie talkie!!! heheheehe

That sounds like Friday the 13th? No? It wasn't funny though.

Am I the only one who thought Shaun of the Dead was utter gobshite?! Everyone else seems to think it's a work of comedy genius and I think it's dross. What gives? I'm usually really easy to please.

I've thought of another hilarious one - Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness. Haha . . . . . one of my faves . . . . "Hey she-bitch . . . let's go!"
