Last night, I had a very strange.. somewhat fun.. dream, between the hours of 3am and 6am. It was beyond anything I had expected when the dream began. I imagined it would be like all the others, being alone on some dark street near a small brightly lit building with predators much more powerful than me hiding in the shadows. And it was, somewhat.. but this time I was the powerful one.

It started out with my grandmother dropping me off at, apparently, my new house. The outside walls were bumpy plaster, the front doorway was Mexican-style, curving over like a giant mousehole, but slightly elongated in height. There was also an archway built the same way, a wall to the left and straight ahead, trash bags lying in the corner with the front door to the right just inside the archway. The street that it was on was very dark, one streetlight down the road, at the end of the block, very dimly lighting a small area with orange light. Thick grey fog looking almost like smoke, and total darkness lied the other way, preventing me to see any further that direction. There was something strange about the fog, though… it was completely still. Like it wasn’t any kind of steam or smoke, but a strange distortion in the atmosphere. There were a few old buildings, somewhat like old shops lining the opposite side of the street from my house and a large brick building on the other side of a small alley between my house and the dim street light I mentioned.

I walked up to my door, pulled out a key from my right pocket and unlocked the door, opened it and walked in. About then my grandmother drove off and I could hear the car’s engine disappear into the distance. Across from the front door was a laundry room, and to the left right inside the door was the living room and the rest of the house. I walked into the laundry room for a moment, when suddenly I heard a flat, Peewee Herman-like voice say “Hllmm hmmmm” in the alley. I got a bit shook up, and thought to myself “Here we go, the same old thing.. some weird guy in the alley gonna chase me around and I’ll wake up with the blinding morning light shining in my eyes.” No… this was not the case. I ran outside, stood just outside the archway and stared at the darkness for a moment, then yelled “Come on!!” a man in dark blue clothes with a thin backpack, nothing in it, and a ski-mask came running out with his hands reaching for me. His face looked a bit strange.. he had no eyes, they looked much like Hollow Man’s eyes when he doesn’t have sunglasses on.

The man tried to grab me, so I punched him in the face.. he obviously felt it.. then, he punched me in the stomach repeatedly so I punched him in the face repeatedly. I grabbed him by his shoulders, turned right most of the way around and threw him. He seemed very lightweight. Once he got back up again, I charged at him and grabbed him by the neck with both hands, lifted him up and choked him for a few seconds, nearly crushing his neck, and ran into the darkness and grey fog, once I got a long way out into the fog I could barely see him or my hands, and I realised I had left my front door open. I threw him further into the fog, and quickly ran back to the house.

I ran in the door and swung it shut, walked back into the laundry room and once again heard the flat, Peewee-style “Hllmm hmmmm”, I ran into the living room which had very eccentric and fancy furniture surrounding a mantle with candles and old lamps adorned atop a nice fireplace with a Greek-like frame and interesting paintings above it. I looked around near the chairs and loveseat, but saw nothing. Then I looked to the left beside me and down on the floor lied a man dressed similar to the one I had just fought. He had very short hair, somewhat like Peewee Herman. heh. another similarity to him. I couldn’t see his face from that angle, but he tried to grab my ankles so I proceeded to stomp on his head and yell “GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE! GET OUT!!” and as I was stomping, his head started turning into white powder. Once I had thoroughly stomped his head until it was nothing but a pile of dust, I thought “Oi.. I’ll clean this up later, first I’m getting this freak out of my house before it comes back alive.” I grabbed him by the shoulders and dragged him to the door, leaving a trail of white dust along the way. I opened up the door, looked for the man with the ski-mask.. I saw nothing. I stepped down one of the steps just outside the door and threw the headless dust man with ease all the way to the curb. Most of his body fell apart when he hit, he was now just a pile of white powder in the vague shape of a man.

I walked back into the house and heard the flat, Peewee-style “Hllmm hmmmm” again, this time coming from the room on the other side of the living room from the front door, to the right. I ran toward it then got a shock. My heart nearly stopped for some reason when I saw what it was this time.. he was huge. He was bending over slightly because he was too tall for the kitchen. He was wearing a white T-shirt and pants much like the other two. He saw me, so I ran back through the living room, just outside the laundry room doorway and saw that the man had turned into a complete monster, muscle bound and large veins bulging out from his arms, his clothes tearing. He looked somewhat like Mr. Hyde.

I grabbed a broom from the corner on the other side of the wall of the doorway in the laundry room, shoved it down the hideous hulk’s throat and shifted it around. Suddenly I had a vision from inside his body, I could see the broom tearing huge gaps his giant stomach like a pen through rubber and poking holes in his liver. I pulled the broom out and held the handle upward, then as the giant came towering downward toward me and the broom handle went into his mouth, going into the roof of his mouth, splitting his head open and his skull falling to pieces and caving into itself. I let go of the broom and stepped back, staring at his mutilated skullcap, then woke up with 80’s rock playing on the TV.
