H-h-howdy horror fans,

I've just started a little project over on my blog called Dreadful Thoughts. Its aim is twofold.

1) To get people reading and discussing short horror stories available online (mainly older material where the copyright has expired).

2) To encourage readers to pen their own short stories. By short I mean very short. Very, very short. 500 words max.

Here's a post introducing the project:
Dreadful Thoughts - A Beginning (http://www.fustar.info/2008/02/02/dreadful-thoughts-a-beginning/)

Here's the first story I covered (Fitz-James O'Brien's "What Was it?"):
Dreadful Thoughts Story Club: "What Was it?" (http://www.fustar.info/2008/02/06/dreadful-thoughts-story-club-what-was-it/)

Here's the second (M. R. James' "Casting the Runes"):
Dreadful Thoughts Story Club: Casting the Runes (http://www.fustar.info/2008/02/14/dreadful-thoughts-story-club-casting-the-runes/)

Not much action right now so feel free to pop over and dive in. The water is deliciously COLD...

The project got a shot in the arm and a relaunch recently:

The first tale for the relaunch was M. R. James' (again) "Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad". The response was great:

Next up (Thursday, 20th March, 8 pm GMT) is "The Willows" by Algernon Blackwood:
