This is recurring dream I use to have when I was between 7-10 yrs old. There were a few variations to it which I will relate as follows:
Alone I sit in my parents house in the county. I am in my bedroom sitting on my bed. It is quiet and completely still as if in foreboding of some indescribable evil waiting to show itself.
Suddenly, there is a noise. Almost unnoticeable coming from the opposite end of the house. Intuitively I know that something has just entered the house. Quietly I sit on my bed not wanting to make any noise at all as I listen for any other sounds. Then it happens again. A noise only this time louder. A low thud like a footsep. Now it is obvious. There is something at the other end of house. Another step and then another in succession. Suddenly, the steps get louder and faster. I hear doors opening and banging closed. Closets opening shutting. Frantic steps with eerie and surreal speed...with unhuman speed and intensity.
The noises and steps make there way slowly towards my bedroom. The only way into my bedroom is a long hallway. The noises take a horrifying turn..and a very rapid and extremely loud succession of steps head straight for the doorway. What ever it is is just outside my view. Just outside my doorway. It is deadly quiet as I sit frozen in fear staring out the doorway waiting to see what ever it is that is just outside my doorway to appear. As I sit and star motionless with fear, I see with horror a face start to very slowly make itself shown. As the face becomes more visible, I can see in the dead silence the most evil looking grin painted on a face with black eyes. The face has a maniac looking smile of pure evil and is unmoving and unblinking, only fixed on me as it looks with a crazed intensity. Slowly the human like figure moves towards me with its arms outstretched. It draws near and places its hands around my neck and starts to squesze. I wake up
Second Version. I am walking down the hallway and I am suddenly slammed to floor. Completely paralyzed, I am turned completely around horizontal on the floor and slowly drug head first by some unseen force into the bathroom. As I am drug into the bathroom, I realize that I am headed for the bathtub. Unable to move, my body inches up the side of the bathtub until I am able to see over the side. Looking down into the tub in horror, I see a human and woman looking figure floating in the water. It suddenly opens its eyes with a blank and evil look and grabs me. I wake up.
