the first one was better, I have to admit. the second one was just kind of an unoriginal way to make extra money. :/

The only movie that ever scared me was the Exorcist. I went to see it when it first came out and was about 16 years old. Linda Blairs face as it looked when fully posessed stuck with me for a long time. Any monster movie since then never had the same effect. I think its because I believe people really can be posessed and I do believe the Devil really does exist. Monster movies are just an escape into fantasy for me and I like watching them for the special effects. Remember monsters do not exist but the Devil does.

Linda Blair played the girl? how did I not remember that?! as I recall I've never actually seen the whole thing.
as for effective movies, the only one that I remember having an effect on me was the 78' TTCM and The Pit And The Pendulum.
