you see, for many years I've had a strange phobia of severed heads with open eyelids. this is because, when I was quite little, I had first heard the story "Me Tie Doughty Walker"
this story STILL haunts me. and because of this, I had a vision of the heads on Thursday night, and did not sleep at all that night. I ended up being really tired the next day, and somehow I ended up passed out on the couch sometime in the evening and woke up at 12:03am, fully rested.

oh yeah, forgot to mention, the head-on-a-spike prop I got that day sure didn't help either.
I hadn't even thought about my thing with heads until that night.

alright. here's the first portion of it. it should clear up the base of the story for you.
"There was a haunted house where supposedly, every night a bloody head fell down the chimney. At least that's what people said. So nobody would stay there overnight. Then a rich man offered two hundred dollars to whoever would do it. And this boy said he would try if he could have his dog with him. So it was all settled. The very next night the boy went to the house with his dog..."

I had to ask, didn't I! Off topic but the mention of a dog made me think about my upsetting story . My friend's sister friend took her cat outside, where it has never been and it got scared and bit her (not a bad bite) so she insisted on being hospitalized and when she got home, she had her cat put to death - mind you, she had the cat for 10 years and it was very precious to her. Your story reminded me of this again so now I will cry and throw up for the fourth time!

well, you wanted the story, right?
I'll put the whole thing in liturature and stories. the dog does have a demise at one point, not a violent one though. pretty instant.

Yes I wanted the story - just can't take stories with deaths of animals in them.

I know what you mean. and a majority of those stories do, unfortunately.
