I've been working on this prop for months now and am constantly running into problems. The final step to completing this d@!m thing is the pump and tubing and I can't seem to get it quite right. I originally wanted the "blood" to flow out of the eyes of the top skull and down the front of the lower skulls. Found out that won't work because it just flows behind the skulls. So then I thought about drilling a hole in the top of the skulls head and having it flow down all other skulls - again I'm thinking that won't work because of the angles the lower skulls have to sit at. Help? How do I get this to work? I've even considered using multiple tubes placed strategically but am running in problems with that because of all the connections and everything...there's no room for it in the middle of the skulls. How can I get the liquid to flow down the front of more than one of the skulls?

well, I can see one problem, the way you have the pile shaped, there's almost no way that blood can flow onto the lower ones if you just have it coming out of the top one. otherwise, go to
http://www.halloweenforum.com

and ask your questions there, those folks'll know all about it.

I'm not sure if it will work but how about some stratigically placed bones to help direct the flow to where you want in. Or maybe fill some of the gaps with Great Stuff foam.

by the way I like the skulls:D

I was kinda hoping to keep the skulls looking a little less "placed" but what do you think of using clear cellophane under the top skull and over the tops of the other skulls to force the fluid down the fronts of the skulls?

So just to update... I didn't exactly get the effect I wanted but it did work and overall I was very pleased with it. Now my challenge for next year is better placement and lighting as it was not really noticed by our "visitors".

So here's the final pic: http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t239/hawkshillhaunter/Halloween%202007/?action=view&current=skullfountain.jpg

It looks good to me, just needs more "blood" flowing.
